Purple flowers up to 120cm (48in) from July to September and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

A South American plant, very popular with insects, including butterflies. It will seed readily in well drained ground. Save some seed at the end of each season for insurance purposes.
