Tulipa batalinii 'Bright Gem'

Apricot yellow flowers up to 15cm (6in) from April to May and growing 15cm (6in) wide. Prefers good, well drained soil in full sun.

Named after Russian botanist Aleksander Fedorowicz Batalin, curator of the Imperial Botanical Garden at St Petersburg. Delightfully persistent tulip needing no lifting from year to year.
