Tulbaghia cominsii x violacea

Lilac mauve flowers up to 30cm (12in) from June to August and growing 20cm (8in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

Two South African species combined here to form neat clumps overlaid with dainty flowers lasting all summer, especially if kept deadheaded. Good as a pot plant but will then need winter protection similar to agapanthus. Avoid winter wet.
