Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Purple Dome'

Purple violet flowers up to 50cm (20in) from September to October and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Happy in sun and most, but not dry, garden soils.

A mildew resistant star of the autumn border. From Dr Dick Lighty, former director of the Mount Cuba centre, DE. USA. One of the last asters to give colour to the garden.
