Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'James Ritchie'

Bright purple-red flowers up to 120cm (48in) from September to October and growing 90cm (36in) wide. Happy in sun and most, but not dry, garden soils.

A variety selected here in this nursery that has now gained an RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is named after the eldest son. Mildew resistant (The Aster not the son).
