Sempervivum calcareum 'Guillaumes'

Blue green rosettes tipped in crimson up to 4cm (2in) and growing 15cm (6in) wide. Prefers well drained, gritty soil in full sun.

This plant is from Mont Ventoux, near the pretty village of Guillaumes on the edge of the French Alps. The plants grow in isolated pockets throughout this region, so adopt individual characteristics according to area. Note the change in foliage colour at different times.
