Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Blackfield' (Bistorta a. B.)

Deep red flowers up to 100cm (40in) from July to October and growing 90cm (36in) wide. Happy in most garden soils in sun or light shade.

"Fleece Flower". Introduced by Belgian breeder Chris Ghyselen in 2005. Bushy and floriferous with very dark buds. Attracts pollinators.
