Penstemon hirsutus var. pygmaeus

Light mauve flowers up to 10cm (4in) from June to September and growing 10cm (4in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in sun.

Unusually tough penstemon for rock garden, large trough or raised bed. A dwarf selection of the American plant found in fields and rocky woods, so any seedlings found to be not dwarf need to be weeded out.
