Penstemon 'Garnet' (P. Andenken an Friedrich Hahn)

Red-crimson flowers up to 80cm (32in) from June to September and growing 60cm (24in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in sun.

It was given the name ‘Garnet’ in 1950 by the plantsman G. S. Thomas. Over 100 years old, the variety dates from 1918 in Switzerland and is the hardiest of them all.
