Origanum laevigatum 'Herrenhausen'

Mauve-pink flowers up to 60cm (24in) from July to September and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

Strong stiff stems with slightly aromatic foliage. The nectar in origanums has a high sugar content which makes this very popular with bees and butterflies. Named after the 17th C German garden.
