Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens'

Lilac flowers up to 20cm (8in) from July to September and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers good, not dry soil in sun or light shade.

Sun makes this foliage plant shine jet black though will be more matt in shade. Shows to advantage when planted with golden or grey contrasting foliage. Great in a terracotta pot with Gypsophila repens Rosea.
