Lythrum virgatum 'Dropmore Purple'

Purple-red flowers up to 90cm (36in) from July to August and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers retentive soil in sun or light shade.

“Purple Loosestrife”. Named for Dropmore House in Buckinghamshire. Sturdy and floriferous selection very suitable for average to moist places in the border.
