Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote'

Purple-blue flowers up to 45cm (18in) from July to August and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

Introduced from the Gloucestershire garden of the same name. It keeps some of its colour when dried. The most popular plant for hedging with its dark flowers.
