Iris unguicularis

Lilac-blue flowers up to 40cm (16in) from November to March and growing 60cm (24in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

Flowers profusely during mild winter periods. Prune or cut down old growth at the end of flowering in March. Native to Algeria, Tunisia and Eastern Mediterranean. Evergreen.
