Hesperantha coccinea 'Major' (Schizostylis c. M.)

Red flowers up to 75cm (30in) from October to November and growing 60cm (24in) wide. Happy in most good, not dry soils in sun.

A larger flowered form than the wild species. This South African plant grows best where the soil is not too dry, and thrives in reasonably well-drained clay. Excellent late cut flower.
