Hebe 'Youngii' (Veronica Y.)

Violet blue flowers up to 20cm (8in) from June to August and growing 60cm (24in) wide. Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

The original plant, named after the curator of Christchurch Botanic Gardens, was found before 1930. Very tough evergreen, low spreading shrub, useful on large rock garden or front of sunny border.
