Hakonechloa macra 'Aureola'

Dark green and gold striped foliage up to 30cm (12in) and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers retentive soil in sun or light shade.

One of the few grasses to tolerate shade, especially if the position is not too dry. It will take on good autumn colour. Cut back in March ready for the new growth. Fabulous as a container plant.
