Geranium nodosum

Lilac mauve flowers up to 45cm (18in) from June to September and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Happy in most garden soils in shade.

From S. France through to former Yugoslavia. One of the few plants that flowers through the summer in shade, which it relishes. Copes with dry shade perfectly. Spreads gently and may seed around a little as well.
