From the garden of Great Dixter in Sussex. It is a good cut flower if the cut ends are dipped in hot water to seal the stems. Avoid contact with the irritant sap.
Red flowers up to 80cm (32in) from May to June and growing 100cm (40in) wide. Happy in most good garden soils in sun.
