Epimedium davidii

Bright yellow flowers up to 30cm (12in) from April to June and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers retentive soil in light shade.

First collected in late 19th Century by Armand David in Sichuan, China. Delightful neat, evergreen clump-former. New leaves copper coloured with yellow flowers held above on red stems. Suitable for front of border or shady spot on large rock garden if not too dry.
