Camassia leichtlinii subsp. leichtlinii (C. l. 'Alba')

Creamy-white flowers up to 100cm (40in) from May to June and growing 15cm (6in) wide. Prefers good, rich soil in sun or light shade.

Found mainly in mountain meadows in the western US. They like a moist spring flowering period, followed by a dry dormancy. When the leaves start to lose colour cut them back. They prefer not to be disturbed once established. Will naturalise well, even in grass. Good in clay soil.
