Betonica officinalis 'Hummelo' (Stachys o. H.)

Purple-pink flowers up to 50cm (20in) from July to September and growing 40cm (16in) wide. Happy in most garden soils in sun or light shade.

A Piet Oudolf introduction named for the village in the Netherlands near his garden. Exceptionally floriferous form of the native “Betony”. Neat growing front of border plant that may produce seedlings.
