Athyrium niponicum 'Red Beauty'

Decorative fern up to 45cm (18in) and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Prefers retentive, moist soil in light shade.

A special selection of the “Japanese Painted Fern”. It looks magnificent in woodland gardens or shady borders and does require a reliably moisture retentive soil. The burgundy flush down the frond centres and stems develops once the plant is well established.
