Allium cristophii

Lilac pink flowers up to 45cm (18in) from June to July and growing 15cm (6in) wide. Happy in most garden soils in full sun.

Use among grasses where the flower heads are held in position even when becoming brittle later and any dying foliage is masked. For winter decoration the heads must be picked and dried when in full colour.
