Aconitum napellus

Dark blue flowers up to 120cm (48in) from June to July and growing 45cm (18in) wide. Retentive soil in sun or light shade.

"Monkshood". Makes broad clumps with stiff stems seldom needing support. Should not be eaten as it is poisonous to grazing animals and humans alike.
